Discounts and bonuses next to European train travel
Eurail has various bonus partners, which offer special discounts to Eurail Pass holders. A Eurail Pass entitles you to numerous bonuses like:
- free or reduced transportation on the tracks of private railroad companies
- free or reduced transportation on national or international ferry crossings
- free or reduced transportation on buses
- discounts for hotels
- reduction on museums
Discount on Expo 2008!
The Expo 2008 is held from June 14 to September 14 in Zaragoza, Spain. Eurail Pass holders get 12% discount on the entrance fee!
More events in Europe
There are some rules for the extra pass benefits:
- Some benefits are free and some entitle you to reductions. If you travel on a Eurail Global Pass, a Eurail Select Pass, a Eurail Regional Pass or a Eurail One Country Pass, you can only use a free benefit on a day which you fill in on your Pass (a Travel day). This does not apply when you use a reduction only, this can be used anytime, within the general validity of your Pass.
- Benefits can only be obtained locally.
- For reduced travel on international shipping lines your Eurail Pass must be valid for the country of departure OR for the country of arrival. For free travel, the Pass must be valid in the country of departure AND the country of arrival. For domestic shipping lines, your Eurail Pass must be valid in the country you travel in.
At the moment there are no extra pass benefits for Eurail pass holders in the following countries:
- Bulgaria
- Czech Republic
- Croatia
- Luxembourg
- Montenegro
- Poland
- Portugal
- Serbia
- Slovenia
